| Technology Initiatives
Technology initiatives are central to our mission and are integral
to the work of ResearchChannel. Our technology experiments enable
alternative, leading-edge exchanges of our resources and allow ResearchChannel
to bring the work of notable and respected speakers, researchers
and professors to the public. Through our global technology collaborations,
we explore emerging technologies and use existing technologies in
new ways.
Why Do We Do These Experiments?
As a consortium of research institutions, ResearchChannel:
- advances global networking technologies
- explores new methods of media storage, management and distribution
- develops new methods of sharing media resources with learning,
teaching and research communities
- furthers multidisciplinary multinational scientific collaboration
The consortium is uniquely qualified to plan and execute these experiments,
which help shape the future of advanced networks and support the
ever-changing needs of academic, research and scientific communities.
